Hardware & Software License Agreement
NMC Racing Formula Dash & Controller
This License Agreement ("Agreement") governs the use of the "NMC Racing Formula Dash" digital dashboard hardware and associated configuration software (NMC Racing Formula Dash Controller), both referred to as "the Product". By installing or using the Product, you agree to be bound by the terms below.
1. Professional Installation Required
The Product is a sophisticated electronic device designed for use in racing environments. Installation of the hardware must be performed by a qualified automotive professional. NMC Racing assumes no responsibility for damages to the Product, the vehicle, or any ancillary components resulting from improper installation. Any damage caused during the installation process is the sole responsibility of the user and/or the installer.
2. Nature of the Product (Visual Aid Only)
DISCLAIMER OF ENGINE PROTECTION:
This Product is designed as a visual aid only. While it provides engine data and visual alarms, it is NOT an engine management system, a rev-limiter, or a safety cutoff device.
NMC Racing shall not be held liable for any engine damage, mechanical failure, or performance issues that occur while the Product is in use. The presence of alarms does not guarantee the prevention of engine damage. It is the operator's responsibility to monitor the vehicle's health and take appropriate action.
3. Software License & Hardware Modification
NMC Racing believes in the freedom to innovate and customize your racing setup:
Software: The accompanying configuration software (Formula Dash Controller) is free to use. You are granted a non-exclusive license to use the software for the operation of the Product hardware (Formula Dash).
Hardware Hacking: The hardware is open to modification. Users are free to "hack," modify, or integrate the hardware into custom setups as they see fit. Note: Extensive physical modifications may affect warranty claims if they cause the failure (see Section 4).
4. Limited Warranty
NMC Racing provides a two (2) year warranty from the date of purchase covering both parts and labor. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal racing conditions. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, fire, or improper installation & modifications.
In the event of a defect, the NMC Racing will, at their discretion, repair or replace the affected components.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the NMC Racing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of race earnings, vehicle damage, or personal injury) arising out of the use or inability to use this Product.
